About Gary…

I started my Hospitality career at the Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour Sydney in November 2002 as a casual porter and throughout the years slowly progressed my way up to Bell Captain and Assistant Concierge to my current position of Assistant Chief Concierge.

Over the years at Four Points by Sheraton, I have built many friendships with other Concierge around Australia, our suppliers who assist us in pulling off the impossible, as well as guests of the hotel.  When a guest sees a familiar face walking in from the main entrance, they know that they are returning home, and if they have any issues or need any assistance, the Concierge Team would be happy to assist, because our hotel is their home away from home. In 2010, I was honoured to have received the Tony Facciolo Young Concierge of the Year presented by Les Clefs d’Or Australia.  It was from that point that I knew my career was heading towards to correct direction and further fuelled my passion and drive to one day join the illustrious ranks of Les Clefs d’Or Australia as well as continue to strive to provide all guests the best service possible.  In 2011, I was a finalist for Concierge of the Year Award at both the AHA (NSW Division) and HM Awards.

To become a member of Les Clefs d’Or Australia is a great honour and a privilege and it is the feeling, knowing that you were able to make a difference to a single guest during their stay that keeps me wanting to come back each day to work behind the Concierge Desk at one of Australia’s largest hotel.
