Victoria

Hidden bars, breathtaking murals, Melbourne has it all! If you know where to find it...

Matthew Du

The capital of the state of Victoria, Melbourne is rated amongst the most most liveable city in the world and it is not hard to see why once you experience Melbourne yourself.

Whether you’re here to experience the excitement of the Australian Open, the roar of the Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix, or to immerse yourself in high fashion at the race that stops the nation, the Melbourne Cup, there is something for everyone all year round.

Known as the cultural capital of Australia, Melbourne’s diverse culture is found all throughout the city. Visit the infamous Hosier Lane, one of Melbourne’s most iconic laneways for street art. This constantly evolving laneway often reflects current world events and can differ week by week.

Make your way down to Federation Square, rated one of the best public spaces in the world, where large sporting events are celebrated, multicultural festivals are held throughout the year and the ACMI (Australian Centre of Moving Image), a museum dedicated to digital arts is based. There is always something going on.

Visit a Melbourne icon, Flinders Street Station, or cross the Princes Bridge down to the Arts Precinct. Be amazed at the National Gallery of Victoria, with past exhibitions including M.C Esher and Van Gogh, or venture to the Art Centre for some opera or ballet.
