Patience and persistence- characteristics any Concierge requires. Though knowing when to use which one is what makes a Concierge great.
It was during my first role in hospitality at the Crowne Plaza Darling Harbour that I was drawn to the role of being a Concierge. Personally the appeal was being able to build a great relationship with the guest and ensure that an amazing and memorable experience was had during their visit. From here I packed my bags and moved to London where I was given my first Concierge role at the InterContinental London Park Lane. This was a fascinating experience that allowed me to experience the many challenges of being a Concierge from arranging late night/early morning private jets to reservations at Michelin star restaurants.
Though the lure of home to glorious Sydney was too hard to pass up and upon my return I was very fortunate to secure a Concierge role at a Sydney icon- The Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. Here at under the guidance of Mr. Jorge Sousa I moved to my current role as Assistant Chef Concierge. In December of 2013 I was accepted into Les Clefs d’Or Australia, this was a very proud moment for me to be accepted into this illustrious society.
Moving forward into the future I am looking forward to contribute as much as I can to the society and eagerly look forward to welcoming new members joining the society.
