About Jaime…

Originally from Zimbabwe I moved to Perth in 2004 to finish high school. My passion for the hotel industry was ignited at The Blue Mountains Hotel School in NSW where I made up my mind that Hotels was what I wanted to do.

 After completing my university studies I moved to Brisbane and settled in at The Brisbane Marriott Hotel. I completed Marriott’s 18 month manager in training course which exposed me to all departments of the hotel.

After completing my first year and a half at Marriott Brisbane I was promoted to senior housekeeping supervisor where I was involved in the day to day running of housekeeping...a very difficult yet rewarding job.

After 3 years at The Brisbane Marriott Hotel I gave myself a break from hospitality and decided to travel and get a part time job with Vodafone, selling phones to finance my travels.

 After several months of travelling I missed the hotel environment so much I was lucky enough to apply for Assistant Concierge at The Sofitel Brisbane Central. Here I have grown into Chief Concierge and can whole heartedly say that The Sofitel Brisbane Central has given me the platform to pursue the career of my dreams.

 3 Years as Assistant Concierge gave me the exposure and eligibility to apply to become a member of Les Clefs d’Or Australia. I now have 2 Assistant Concierges working with me to get their golden keys in the years to come.

 Les Clefs d’Or Australia is growing in numbers at a very fast rate and with all the new members and hotels opening in Australia I think the future is very bright for this amazing association in this amazing country.
